Who you talk to and what to ask

How Our Network Works for You

Who You Talk To

You talk to an independent HVAC provider in the Delray Beach area. These are local businesses. They are not employees of Extentway Heating & Air. We make the introduction, and the provider takes it from there.

This page does not list names or bios. The provider you speak with will tell you the company name, who is coming and what they can do.

What Happens on the First Conversation

Expect a few simple questions. A provider usually asks:

  • What is the system doing, or not doing?
  • How old is the unit, if you know?
  • Where is the equipment located?
  • Have you seen water, smoke, sparks or a burning smell?

Have your notes and photos nearby. They save time. If the provider can visit, they will explain timing. Many providers can respond quickly, but availability varies, so ask directly.

What to Ask a Provider

A good provider is happy to answer these. Write down the answers.

  • Are you licensed and insured for this work in my area?
  • Is there a charge to come out and look, and is it credited toward the repair?
  • Can I get the quote in writing before work starts?
  • Is the part new, used or refurbished?
  • What warranty comes with the parts and the labor?
  • If the repair is costly, can you also quote a replacement?

Typical U.S. costs vary a lot by job, so a written quote is the only number to trust.

Do and Do Not

  • Do turn the system off if you smell burning or see water near electrical parts.
  • Do take photos before anything is touched.
  • Do not open electrical panels or sealed refrigerant parts yourself.
  • Do not sign anything you have not read.

You Are in Control

You can say no. You can ask for a second opinion. You can request estimates from more than one provider. Extentway Heating & Air does not charge you, and there is no obligation to hire anyone we connect you with.
